How Documatch handles your documents

What we store, what we send to AI providers, and what we do not do.

Last reviewed: 12 January 2026

What we store

Account data (name, email, organisation, authentication identifiers through our identity provider). Your documents and content: uploaded files, editor state, version history and AI edit proposals. Usage data (feature use, token consumption, error logs, device and browser details). Payment data is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers. Messages you send us.

What goes to AI providers

When you request an AI edit, the relevant part of your document may be sent to an AI provider solely to fulfil that request, under our data processing terms.

Training

We do not use your documents or prompts to train third-party foundation models.

Retention and deletion

Documents and account data are kept while your account is active and as needed for backup, legal and billing purposes. To request access, correction, deletion or export, email contactdocumatch@gmail.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and database access is scoped by account.

Connectors

If you connect Documatch to Claude or ChatGPT, those clients can access your documents according to the tools you use. See Connector privacy.
